Frequently Asked Questions about Wedding Photography

What style of work do you shoot?

I shoot a mixture of reportage and candid style images with traditional group photography to create a complete storybook of your day. I like to blend in, shooting a non-stop story from beginning to end.

What kind of packages and service do you offer?

I offer simple, uncomplicated price structures that allow you to put together individual options & create your own plan, or you can choose one of my inclusive package plan options. I work with you to design an individually styled package to suit your requirements, ideas and budget.

Do you shoot digital or film?

I shoot using the latest Nikon digital SLR cameras, lens & flash kits.

Do you work with an Assistant?

I mostly work with my Stylist Assistant who helps keep the bride & groom looking perfect for the camera. Trine is an experienced fashion stylist and will also help in organising everything to run smoothly, so I can focus on the photographs and you and your guests can relax.

What are your rates?

My prices reflect the level of experience, qualifications, and commitment that I can offer my clients. Individual rates are available upon request, a price guide is also available to view on the Shoot me Senseless Photographer's blog.

Where are you based?

I am primarily based in the beautiful city of Oxford, I also have a second base up north in Yarm, which is close to York in the heart of North Yorkshire.

Where will you go to do pre wedding consultations and to shoot weddings in the UK?

Oxford, London, Yarm, anywhere within a 100 mile radius of Oxford or Yarm if I can travel on the same day, any required distance if accomodation can be provided and paid for. Pre wedding consultations in the North of England are handled by Christine, my new Wedding Photography Advisor.

How much extra is it for you to fly to, say, New York or Barcelona?

Usually not as much as you might think. Since weddings are planned so far in advance, it’s possible to book ahead and lower the cost of travel.

Do you have a back-up plan if something unforeseen happened?

Yes, I always carry 2 sets of equipment and have full public liability & indemnity insurance. I also have experienced backup photographers available if I unfortunately were to break both my legs the day before your wedding.

What about hidden extras, reproduction rights etc

I give you the reproduction rights included with all of our options and packages to enable you to do your own reprints if you wish. This should not be mistaken with copyright, which is legally assigned to me as the photographer and image creator. This can be negotiated for an additional fee, but is normally unnecessary unless you are appearing in Hello or OK magazine.

We want to book you and talk with you further

If you would like to book, I am happy to arrange a time at your convenience when we can meet and I can show you my wedding portfolio. Looking at images on the web is fine, but looking at fine prints and full wedding albums is real photography.

This meeting is a chance to really put together ideas and design the perfect plan that will suit your day.

I like to spend time getting to know my clients as much as possible. The more comfortable and relaxed you feel with having me at your wedding the better. It also makes for better pictures too!

How do I find out more about what you are doing at the moment?

You can always keep up to date with me by reading or subscribing to The Shoot Me Senseless photographer's blog
